Become a PADI advanced open water diver in only two days with five PADI adventure training dives, there’s no exam because this course is truly about having fun and improve skills and experience. Once you’ve completed all of the course’s performance requirements, this license will allow you to dive to a maximum depth of 30 meters anywhere in the world.
The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course consist of two sections:
- Knowledge development – During this session, you will receive a PADI advanced open water e-learning (Self-study) and must complete a Think like a diver subject and knowledge review of 5 adventure dives, including two mandatory adventure dives and three elective adventure dives that you choose to learn.
- Open water session – You will make 5 of Adventure open water training dives, learn about underwater navigation, deep diving and three types of elective adventure dives that you’re
interesting.
Two are mandatory dive and they are. - Deep: Dive to a depth of 18-30 meters, learn about deep diving physiology, and how to manage a deep dive.
- Underwater navigation: learning to navigate underwater with a compass, navigate straight line
and square patterns. There are three elective dives from which to select; this is a list of the elective dives available at our
diving center. - Peak performance buoyancy (highly recommend): Buoyancy control is one of the most important scuba skills; learn more techniques from this adventure dive to increase your performance in controlling buoyancy, air consumption, and fun.
- Night Dive (highly recommend): Learn and explore the underwater world at night to see different creatures and a lot of cool stuff and very wonderful of bioluminescence during a night
time, you will learn entry and exit techniques, how to navigate a reciprocal heading, how to communicate and how to handle an underwater dive torch from this adventure dive. - Wreck (highly recommend): Dive into history, explore and be excited. Wreck diving is a popular adventure dive that people do during the PADI advanced open water diver course on Koh Tao. We have three fantastic wrecks that are suitable for recreational dives ready for you to explore.
- Enrich Air Diver (highly recommend): Extend your time limit and spend more time underwater.
You will learn how to plan a dive with Enrich air using a dive computer and how to analyze Enrich air.
Please Note : If you select Enrich air adventure dives, you will pay an additional 5,000 THB and you will receive both PADI Advanced Open Water and Enrich air specialties certification.
- Fish Identification: Learn about marine life, various types of fish, and how to identify the family group to which they belong and how many species are in that family.
- Search & recovery: Improve your underwater navigation skills and have more fun with this adventure dive, which will teach you different searching techniques as well as how to tie a knot and use a lift bag to lift a sinking object and bring it to the surface.
- Digital Underwater Photography: You will learn how to set up and prepare underwater housing, shoot, focus and composition, and set the white balance under water.
Please note : If you do not have your own underwater camera, there is a cost extra of 1,000 THB for
renting. - Rescue adventure: Ready for a rescue emergency situation, this adventure dive will teach you how to self-rescue (cramp release and alternated air source use), identify a tired diver and a panic diver, as well as searching for a missing diver. This adventure dive is designed as an introduction for you to continue your PADI rescue course.
Itinerary
Step 1 Sign up and pay for the course, then receive a PADI advanced open water e-learning and start.
Day 1
9:30 – 11:00 AM ; Dive theory review and dive briefing.
12:00 – 17:00 PM ; Peak performance buoyancy(Elective 1) and Under water navigation.
18:00 – 20:00 PM ; Night dive (Elective 2)
Day 2
8:00 – 12:15 AM ; Deep dive and Wreck (Elective 3)
Please Note: This is only an example and recommended timetable for the optional dive that most people choose. The schedule is flexible, and we can work around your own needs.
Diver prerequisites
● 12 year old
● Certified as PADI Open Water Diver certification or equivalent from another organization.
● Medically fit to dive
● If you have not been diving for more than 12 months, you must enroll in a scuba review before starting the course.
● It is recommended that you do not fly within 18-24 hours after diving.
